CLIENT RULES - MISCONDUCT REPORTS
Tips to Writing Good Misconduct Reports
It is extremely important that Misconduct Reports are written concisely and describe to the reviewer exactly what occurred. Also, an incorrectly written Misconduct Report can be disregarded by a Disciplinary Committee upon appeal by either the player or coach.
Therefore, best practices includes using the phraseology exactly as it is contained in the Laws of the Game. For example, it is better to state "The attacker was tripped from the side by defender #24 (M.J. Didit) in a reckless manner" rather than "The attacker was tripped by the defender and fell".
