CLIENT RULES - HIGH SCHOOL (WOA)
2014 Girls H.S. Season Begins August 29, 2014
For more information about the 2014 Girls H.S. and Boys/Coed Middle School Season, contact our WOA Assigning Secretary, Dave Braun (dave.braun@tcsra.org):
Washington-State High Schools now follow the USSF Laws of the Game (FIFA) as modified by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) - click here.
The girl's season is played in the fall of the year. They are comprised of 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A levels of play.
The boy's season is held in the spring and is comprised of 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A levels of play (note: The 1B boys play in the fall).
Similar to WSYSA, WIAA has adopted strict Concussion Management guidance. You can read more about this by clicking here.
In addition, referees who officiate at high school soccer matches must belong to the Washington Officials Association (WOA). Dave Braun is the Assigning Secretary for TCSRA and he manages the payment of your fees and assignments to high school games.
Reporting of Ejections and Concussions
Online Reporting:
The conduct and concussion form will utilize the same link shown at the top left side of the WOA Central Hub ArbiterSports site. Once the official clicks on the link, they will be able to select Concussion or Ejection. Please remember that all conduct reports are sent to the Assigner. The Assigner is responsible for editing the report and then the Assigner submits the report. Once submitted, the report will go directly to the school, so please make sure the report has been properly edited.
Please do not send any "test" reports, as the reports will go directly to the school (and yes, officials and assigners have sent "test" conduct reports in the past).
"HEAD INJURY" REMINDER:
Officials must report any player that they remove from a contest for signs or symptoms of a "head injury".
Officials DO NOT have to report when a coach is beckoned on to tend to the injured player and the coach chooses to remove the player.
BENCH PERSONNEL:
A coach or other adult bench personnel, who has been cautioned, should be shown a yellow card.
The official shall Caution/Eject anyone in the area that earns it. DO NOT automatically card the coach unless the coach is the one that earns the card. Show the card to bench personnel - youth or adult - the one that earns a card AND WHO MUST BE listed on the roster.
